Obituary of Karen Denise Shepard

Karen Denise (Shroyer) Shepard Karen went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday December 17th, 2020 at the Guthrie Corning Hospital. She was battling with multiple health problems from COPD to asthma and others. Karen was born on June 9th, 1958 to her parents Aaron and Kathryn Shroyer. She was raised in the southside of Elmira New York. Where She grow up with her four sisters Tina, Lecia, Robin, and Julie. She went to South Side High School where she Graduated and went on to get married. She was very kind and loved teaching the children at her local church of Elmira Wesleyan. She also worked for RGIS inventory as an inventory specialist and work other places as well. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend. She is predeceased by her parents Aaron Boyd Shroyer, Kathryn Joyce (Andrus) Shroyer, and her sister Julie Shroyer. She is survived by her husband George E. Shepard, daughter Victoria L. (Shepard) Anthony and her spouse Tom Anthony and their four children, also Jason E. Shepard her son, Andrew A. Shepard son, also by her Sisters Tina Castle, Lecia Mould, Robin Bukland, and with her nieces and nephews, Adam Peterson, Ave Marie Yahna, Tim Castle, Shaun Castle, Jessica Bukland, Baret Bukland, Kyle Mould, and Caitlin Shroyer. Family and friends are invited to visit The Bridge Wesleyan Church (formerly known as The Big Flats Wesleyan Church), 561 Maple St, Big Flats, NY 14814, on Saturday, December 26th 2020 from 10am to 12 pm. A Celebration of her Life will follow at 12pm. Masks will be required and social distancing guidelines along with limits to occupancy will be in effect. Stay safe.
