Obituary of Wanda I. (Davis) and Lee A. Bliss

BLISS, Wanda I. (Davis) Age 93 of Pine City. Wanda was born on September 18, 1927, daughter of the late Raymond and Etta (Sweeney) Davis and passed away on Wednesday, December 16 2020. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by sons Jeffery & Gary; grandson Lawrence C. Hamilton; siblings Marion, Louise, Loretta, Bernard, and Beulah; and sons-in-law Charles Hamilton, Roy Herbst, and Edward Eddy. She is survived by her children, Helen (Edward) Taylor, Susan Herbst, Mary Eddy, Jan (Chris) Calloway, Judy (Brian) Cook, David R. Bliss, and Laurie L. Bliss; her 20 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren; along with her ‘handi-helper’ Bryan Dennis; and many extended family. Wanda was a hostess at Lodge On The Green and also worked at Izards. Most recently, she worked as the supervisor of the food court at in the Arnot Mall until her retirement. Most importantly, she was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She shared 64 years of her life with Lee A. Bliss; they were married July 10, 1948. Lee passed on February 2, 2013. Together they donated to multiple organizations including the March of Dimes, Disabled American Veterans, WWII History Museum, Easter Seals, and Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Wanda and Lee will be laid to rest for eternity together in Coopers Plains Cemetery Lee A. Bliss Lee was born in Troupsburg, NY, son of the late Glenn and Edith (Cady) Bliss. In addition to his parents, Lee was predeceased by his sons Jeffery & Gary, and grandson Lawrence C. Hamilton. He is survived by children, Helen (Edward) Taylor, Susan Herbst, Mary Eddy, Jan (Chris) Calloway, Judy (Brian) Cook, David R. Bliss, and Laurie L. Bliss; her 20 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. He will be laid to rest in Coopers Plains Cemetery alongside his wife in their eternal rest.
