Obituary of Richard F. Whitman

Richard F. Whitman, age 85, of Horseheads, NY, passed away at Arnot Ogden Medical Center Saturday, January 9th, 2021, after a brief illness. He is survived by his sister-in-law Joyce Whitman, nephew Donald Whitman, and niece Barbara Whitman as well as several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Edward Whitman, Jr. and Arthur Whitman. Richard was born on March 30, 1935, son of the late Edward and Johanna Muster Whitman. He grew up in Elmira, NY and graduated from Southside High School in 1954. Richard was a member of the United States Army. He was employed by IBM and Taylor Wineries. Spending time with friends and family, trading stocks, and cars were just a few of his interests. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family.
