After High School I spent several years hanging around with Joe & Dave, doing car stuff and things like that. During that time Leo & Mabel became like 2nd parents to me. I'll be forever grateful for Leo & Mabel treating me (as well as Dean, Kwas, John, Ron, Gordy,.......all of us car guys who hung out at the Gaboriaults) like one of the family. It never hurt, either, when one of our cars required more knowledge to fix than we collectively had, that it was put right, almost instantly, by Leo. He really WAS one 'ell of a mechanic! Leo was also my Boy Scout leader and, as members of Troop 67, we shared many adventures together, which I look back upon fondly. As my life progressed we all wound up drifting apart, but I can't remember any time I've ever driven past the Gaboriaults house & didn't quietly say, "Hi, Guys. Hope all is well". Such good memories! To Joe & Dave.....you both know that I know how hard it is to lose both your parents. My heartfelt condolences to both of you. If you need anything, you know where I am.
