My brother George was one of the first people at Jim’s accident. My mom and I took part in patterning Jim also. My son got to know him at Able 2 when he worked there. RIP Jim. You did live a full life.

I worked with Jim at Able 2 for 26 years. He was such a character, always joking around and giving all the ladies his big smile. He never lost his sense of humor. He was always after me to give him the keys to my Mustang. He was just what the doctor ordered if you were having a bad day. Jim was a kind and caring guy and will be dearly missed. My sympathies to his siblings and relatives and to his housemates and friends at Able 2.

First I want to talk about my wonderful parents.
Margaret from Lladudno and my father Jack Brown, who was in WWII. He married my mother there. They were strong working family my Dad worked at Thachers glass for 30yrs then retired. If my parents didn't take over Jim's life plan, he would have died at 18. Jim was in a car accident. My parents helped bring him back to a normal life as best as they could. My Mom used to carry him up and down the stairs on her back. Dad would also do the same after his work. They came up with ideas to help him stand. Dad took a ladder and made like a monkey bars that worked wonderful. Also, they started a group that volunteered to do rang of motion exercises. If not for the strong-willed parents, Jim would have died at 18. My parents willed him to live and never give up! Our entire family were strong and helped in any way we could. Jim had the best humor that I know. When my 2 brothers Ron and Jim, got together, it was like a comedy show. Jim had a heart of gold. He would help others the best way he could. He loves buying presents for our family. I only remember a little about him before his tragic accident by a drunk driver. I was 3 years old . So I only have a few memories of him before the accident. They were fun memories of him, like spraying the garden hose at me in the window, while I was watching him wash the car. He would lift me up high so I could touch the celing and several other memories. After the accident, they are many wonderful memories. What I've learned from him was power, strength to never stop, patience for others, humor, of course, and how to ignore the bad stuff in life. Be humble of what you have, that others don't due to a disability. He loved watching baseball. He even got to toss the first ball at our local baseball team. He loved to watch MTV with me and John Wayne movies. He worked so hard to get his abilities back. He fought harder than Mike Tyson. Thank you all who " patterned " him. I enjoyed all the helpers. Thank you, Able2, for working with Jim.

AWWW Jim...you will forever be remembered for your humir, kindness, and patience.
I loved how we'd joke about my being an " older woman"( from April), and that it was a good thing we hadn't gone to school together as we'd likely have been "doing time" in the principal's office. Jim has an infectious laugh, a devilish grin, and a heart as big as heaven.
Peace James...peace.

Jim was the light of my mornings, while working at UCP on Ithaca Rd. He would walk by in the morning to attend day program, always with a smile and a "good morning Docta Miracle"! His humor and light touched all he met. Condolences, prayers, and love to all he knew. Special hug to his sis, my "sis", Debs.
